“Mel helped me build the body I’ve always wanted in the middle of a global pandemic. If that doesn’t speak to her excellence and professionalism, I don’t know what will. We started with minimal equipment, slowly adding things in that challenged me more, and all of our training has been remote. She literally changed my life by changing my body, as cliche as that sounds, without ever being in the same room as me. *mic drop*

 

She helped keep me accountable with my food logs and “homework”, and when I needed extra help and guidance she was always there; I never felt like I was unguided. She is a great resource for fitness knowledge, but humble enough to do her own research when she doesn’t know the answer to a question. She helped me feel normal when I slipped up on workouts or eating and also held me accountable to get back into my routine. 

 

I now have a healthy relationship with food, a sustainable workout schedule and the tools to know what to do should I ever fall off. She is so much fun to work with, so inspiring, an all around great coach, and an even better person. I cannot say enough good things about her. “

"Mel is a fantastic trainer and coach! Her virtual training sessions have helped me so much as I get back on track with fitness after gyms and studios closed during the pandemic. She is knowledgeable, creative and resourceful; I am working out from a small apartment but Mel manages to kick my butt and push my limits every week with a handful of resistance bands, sliders and random objects around my house. She tailors my programming specifically for my goal to build strength to be a better rock climber. Since working with Mel I have made a lot of strength progress but have really improved my push ups and core strength. Even though I am working out virtually, she is incredibly attentive and her cues for form and muscle activation are always on point. She is also super nice and funny, having her as a coach is like working out with a good friend! I’d recommend Mel to anyone looking to build fitness and strength, she’s the best!"

"I started attending Mel’s social distanced bootcamp in the park classes this summer and absolutely loved them. From there I inquired about doing online personal training so I could take my fitness to the next level. I started PT with Mel in December 2020. I’ve always loved exercising but I admit I’ve never been a self-starter to workout hard on my own. I need someone to push me to lift heavier, do a few more reps and to hold me accountable. Mel doesn’t just design my workouts, she spends a lot of time learning about my eating and drinking behaviors, my strengths and what I want to improve on. I met Mellissa about 5 years ago at the very beginning of my fitness journey. After years of yo-yo dieting and failing; I realized I needed to take the physical fitness part of my journey seriously. I had never had a coach before to hold myself accountable. I was scared of the unknown and of failing. Mellissa was very knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the entire process. Through our first year of training, she helped me build a strong and consistent love of exercise through weightlifting and cardio. She has great problem solving skills and adaptability. She is able to provide injury appropriate exercises and is very attentive to individual needs. While training with her in person she is super motivating and has a great attitude! We started training via Zoom during COVID and she still manages to push and motivate me from a distance. She continues to make excellent programs with the equipment I have available to me and I continue to hit PRs. She is tech savvy and we’ve been able to connect via True Coach and My Fitness Pal. This made the transition to online training super easy! She’s super flexible in her schedule and understands that life happens! I love Mellissa and would recommend her to everyone!
